🔥 Chicken Tikka Recipe – Smoky, Spicy, and Simply Irresistible!

📋 Ingredients:

For the Marinade:

  • 500g boneless chicken (cut into medium cubes)

  • 1/2 cup thick curd (hung curd or Greek yogurt)

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp mustard oil (or any oil)

  • Salt to taste

  • A pinch of orange-red food color (optional)

For Garnish:

  • Onion rings

  • Lemon wedges

  • Chaat masala

  • Fresh coriander

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Marinate the Chicken

  • In a bowl, mix curd, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and all spices.

  • Add chicken pieces and coat them well.

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight for best results).

2. Skewer and Cook

  • Preheat oven at 220°C or heat a tawa/grill pan.

  • Thread chicken pieces onto skewers.

  • Grill or roast for 20–25 minutes or until cooked, basting with oil or butter halfway through.

  • For extra smokiness, give a dhungar (coal smoke) for a minute.

If using a tawa:

  • Heat oil, place marinated chicken, and cook on medium-high until golden and cooked through.
